Stainless Steel |
|
There are many things to consider when you are looking at any metal bondage item. In particular, you need to look at stainless steel, especially when looking at chastity devices. One of the most important things is the alloy or the make-up of the steel. Many people that make chastity belts do not use the correct materials. Often people attempt to use mild steel or aluminum as it us easier to cut and you do not need as heavy equipment. These alloys are not right for this application. They are able to rust and also should not be in contact with the body for any length of time. Even many alloys of stainless steel are able to corrode and should not be used. The only suitable alloy for a chastity belt is 304L surgical stainless steel. This is made so that it can be used anywhere on the body even internal.
Another thing to consider is the thickness or gauge of the steel. Many people do not realize that the lower the gauge number the thicker the material is. Some companies advertise that they use a 24 gauge steel. This is not a strong metal, it is thin, will bend very easily, and will not last or fit correctly. Odds are that you will be able to bend the belt and you may be able to remove the item completely while it is locked. Although if the steel is too ridged such as a 14 gauge steel it will not shape correctly and not fit properly. We have heard many cases were someone bought a belt that was a heavy gauge and they were unable to shape it to their body. Also when you get into thicker gauges, such as 14 gauge, devices tend to start getting heavier. All Locked in Steel chastity belts are made of 16 gauge 304L stainless steel. At Locked in Steel we have spent extensive time researching, prototyping, and testing products to make sure that you are getting the best product possible. Remember, we at Locked in Steel are not just manufacturers as we also use all of our products. We have tested and perfected them on ourselves to ensure that we offer the best product.

Single Piece Waist Belt |
|
Locked in Steel constructs all of our chastity belts with
a single piece waist band construction. All Locked in Steel
chastity belts waist bands are solid and not connected together by
screws or rivets at a "Bridge Point". This prevents weakness, gives it a
better appearange, and does not create an area that is harder to keep
clean. Locked in
Steel also creates a contoured offset where ever steel overlaps. This makes it so that your belt lays
clean and flat so that it will always fit correctly.

Laser Welding |
|
| At Locked in Steel we laser weld, by computer controls, all of our locking and alignment posts. This process make the pins permanent and the most secure. Many other companies either slide, press , or traditional weld their pins into their belts. Over time they will start to spin and come loose. With traditional welding a filler material is added that will rust over time. At Locked in Steel we ensure that this will never happen with this process as no filler material is used. |

Plastisol Coating |
|
Plastisol is a PVC coating that is baked on at 500 degrees. This is not the average tool dip that you can purchase in the store. This coating is applied after a primer coat to ensure that the material will permanently bond to the steel. Once this is applied the coating will not be able to be removed. Others companies use a silicone or neoprene edging, this will come loose and fall off over time as water and other things are able to get into the seam. When this happens it can cause irritation as well as many other issues. We have found that Plastisol is a far better solution for this application. It completely seals the part allowing for better hygiene, provides more cushioning for added comfort, and prevents slipping of the material especially on a male belt with a penis tube. As an added benefit it also insulates the front shield and penis tube making temperature changes less noticeable.

Stainless Steel Rivet Construction |
|
Locked in Steel connects all parts together using stainless steel rivets. Locked in Steel only uses 304L surgical grade stainless steel rivets. Locked in Steel never uses lesser quality connection parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, brass or nickel rivets. Your belt is only secure as it's weakest point. If you can attack the belt with a simple screwdriver it is not very secure.

Silicone Lining |
|
Locked in Steels silicone lining is the best on the market. We did extensive research and then had a die custom made to manufacture this part of our products. The silicone is thicker all around and softer than any other on the market to make it more comfortable. Do not be fooled by others that use neoprene edging that causes allergies. They do not have a single piece they use edging and then fill in the center with a foam filler material that is porous and comes loose. Locked in Steels single piece silicone liner coats and covers all edges including the back for added comfort.

Attention to Detail |
|
We pride ourselves on the little details that we make sure happen in every item that we sell. We make sure that the complete product is stainless steel. Many other companies say that their product is stainless steel but it is not 100% stainless. Take a magnet to every part... Chain, D-Rings, Locking Post... The entire product should be barely magnetic and should never stick. If it does that is the sign of a sub standard product. We can ensure that every part of every belt is 100% stainless steel as we have every part made to our specifications including our hardware. We make sure that d-rings are movable so that you can flip them us and down and they stay in that position. We pay special attention to material grain and ensure that everything matches and have the same polish. Other companies do not have the high standards that we do. Come and see the difference. |
